What a Demo Day! June 06, 2019, marked the end of TechFounders Batch #9. The 20-week program climaxed in a great final event with more than 180 guests from the B2B/Tech ecosystem. Our 10 highly innovative startups pitched with a clear goal: find investors and customers. A huge success! Besides the pitches, Bulent Altan, member of the management board at Mynaric and Co-Founder of Global Space Ventures inspired the audience with an intriguing keynote speech.

What a start into the new year – for the further development of their software, drag&bot has received funding in the low seven-digit range. The company drag&bot has developed an operating system for industrial robots with which robotic programs can be assembled from different components via drag-and-drop. “With drag&bot, robot programming is as easy as using a smartphone,” explains Martin Naumann, founder and CEO of drag&bot on their website. The financing round was led by Speedinvest Industry, a Vienna-based VC specializing in industrial tech and other strategic partners.

From Batch #10 onwards, ALDI Nord and ALDI SÜD are partnering with the Startup Accelerator Program TechFounders. The goal is to promote sustainable solutions and innovations in the field of packaging and plastic reduction in cooperation with startups. ALDI SÜD and ALDI Nord are the first grocery retailers to partner with TechFounders. Through the partnership, ALDI is actively seeking innovative startups to develop new solutions to improve the sustainability of packaging materials.

On January 14, 2019, ten motivated, innovative, young startups came to Munich to kick-off the TechFounders batch #9! From smart customer service, new innovation mangement or knowledge transfer tools, maintenance-free sensor solutions or data security & performance solutions, the startups of the new batch already show very strong promises. In the following months, they will not only receive tailored coachings and trainings from seasoned entrepreneurs and experts, but also get to expand their network in the business angel and venture capital scene, and, above all, conduct an intensive collaboration project with one of the TechFounders corporate partners.

On December 6, more than 300 people from the European startup community attended the 8. Demo Day of TechFounders in the famous event location “IsarPost” in Munich. Besides the pitches of 8 upcoming innovative tech startups from the current TechFounders accelerator batch, a keynote speech by Frank Thelen, known from “Höhle der Löwen” and a panel discussion with Felix Haas, Thomas Bachem (Code University), Gerrit Pohl (ADAC) and the two founders Bastian Nominacher (Celonis) and Florian Bachheibl (Volabo) rounded off the program!

In 2018, two TechFounders alumni, Victoria Hauzeneder from blik (picture) and Katharina Kreitz from Vectoflow are among the top 40 talents in the category “founders”. Congratulations!
TechFounders alumni startup “ParkHere” has raised 2,4 Million Euro in its series a financing round. The startup, which participated in TechFounders Batch #3, offers the first self-powered parking sensor. It can be easily installed in any type of road pavement in less than 5 minutes.
